Jess believes in advocating and supporting policies that keep our schools funded at the level needed to meet the needs of all learners.
In that light, she supports long-term fiscal planning, adopting science-based curriculum (in particular the current implementation of the new literacy curriculum), decisions that keep racial justice and equity in focus, and planning that focuses on the whole-child.
Jess will advocate for policies to create more affordable homes in addition to commercial development, in particular near transit hubs in order to increase Brookline's tax base, while also relieving the tax burden for our residents.
She supports the current proposed Chestnut Hill development project.
Jess supports moving Brookline towards its Climate Goals for 2040 by emphasizing environmental sustainability in town and green space preservation.
Jess plans to review the Town budget to address efficiencies, while prioritizing the well-being of all Brookline residents.
Keeping a community such as Brookline running efficiently requires the combined efforts of multiple town departments and it is crucial that the town be funded appropriately at all levels.
